The 2022 Wreaths Across America Ceremony will take place at the Assembly Area at the Cemetery.  The program will commence promptly at 11:00 am Saturday December 17, 2022.  Public Wreath Laying will take place immediately following the ceremony.  Families with family members interred at Georgia National Cemetery are invited to place one wreath at their family members gravesite from 9:00 to 11:00 am.   There will also be a patriotic flyover during the ceremony.

Guest Speaker will be Major General Robert E. Pfister, U.S. Air Force, Retired.  General Pfister entered the Air Force at Lackland AFB, Texas in March 1964, and completed pilot training at Craig AFB, Alabama in May 1965.  He then flew KC-135s with the 919th Air Refueling Squadron, including 16 months in Southeast Asia.  After a distinguished military career General Pfister went on to retire as a pilot with Delta Air Lines.  He now is the owner of a successful Real Estate Company in northern Georgia.

The Wreaths Across America Foundation is an organization which encourages Wreaths Across America wreath-laying ceremonies at more than 2,100 locations across the United States, at sea and abroad. Every December, Georgia National Cemetery Advisory Council (GNCAC) participates in this initiative to remember and honor veterans and families interred at Georgia National Cemetery. GNCAC coordinates the event, handles all local logistics, and hosts an annual ceremony.

Join us by sponsoring veterans’ wreaths at Georgia National Cemetery. For every $1000 GNCAC receives, 100 fresh wreaths honoring 100 veterans will be placed. With over 20,000 veterans to remember, your support is needed and appreciated. We encourage you to give what you can by November 30 each year. Wreaths are placed by volunteers in mid-December. Simply download a donation form to mail in your generous contribution or donate online. Wreaths are $15 each or three for $30. Thank you for helping this critical cause.
